The hotel is within walking distance of the shops, tourist attractions and restaurants. It is next to the Utzon Center and there is a brand new shopping centre just a stone's throw away. Breakfast is served in the restaurant at First Hotel Aalborg. Lighter snacks are available at the bar, as well as hot and cold drinks. As a guest you have access to the solarium, gym and sauna, and you can also play billiards and table tennis. Aalborg is renowned for its gastronomic experiences. It is the fourth biggest city in Denmark and has restaurants, bars and cafes for every taste. You can visit the popular micro-brewery Søgaards Bryghus, where you can try freshly-brewed beer and buy some to take home with you. You are spoilt for choice for trendy fashion and classic design, glass and ceramics, as there are many shops and artworks in the heart of the city. If you travel just south of the city, you will find the largest shopping centre in Jutland, Aalborg Storcentret, that has long opening hours. Aalborg is only 45 minutes by car from Fredrikshamn.
