You can choose whether you want to take things easy or spend an active holiday full of adventures for the whole family. Säfsen is a perfect place for activities in the open air. There is a children's club called 'Säfsen-Knattarna' which has its own mascot, an elk called Filurius. The qualified leaders teach children many useful and fun things about the wilderness. You can enjoy a meal in the restaurant, have a drink in the bar or be pampered in the relaxation centre, which offers massages, a solarium and a sauna.
Lake Säfsjön is just around the corner, perfect for many different water activities. You can also try riding an Icelandic horse or go for a walk in the beautiful surroundings. Säfsen Resort has been nominated two years in a row for the 'TRIP Global Award' for 'The best experience in Sweden'.
There are 175 lakes, tarns and streams in Säfsen and it surroundings, perfect for seasoned anglers and people who are trying fishing for the first time. You can hire a mountain bike to cycle around the area, and with 450 kilometres of mountain bike trails, there is a lot for you to discover. There are also many different leisure activities for you to do to make the most of the fresh air and the stunning views. You can go walking, canoeing, hunting, picking berries and mushrooms, and much, much more.
