Viaggio verso Gassin

Gassin
Gassin is a medieval village located like a small gem high above the Mediterranean, about 10 km from St Tropez. The village is recognized as one of the most beautiful in the region. It's said that Gassin and the nearby village of Ramatuelle were originally established to escape pirates that once roamed the Mediterranean.
Upon reaching Gassin, you're first struck by the incredible views over the Gulf of St. Tropez and the surrounding mountains. Walking through the ancient streets and alleys is an experience that takes you back in time. Keep an eye out for a street called L’Androuno, reputed to be the narrowest street in the world! Gassin is a perfect destination for a day trip featuring a bit of culture and a delightful lunch or dinner at one of the village's many small restaurants.
Port Grimaud
Located at the far end of the gulf, Port Grimaud is a unique village designed like a miniature Venice. Here, canals are lined with small pastel-colored houses and plazas. Port Grimaud is the result of an architect's dream from the 1950s and is now a popular destination for tourists and residents alike.
Beaches and Medieval Villages
The area boasts many beautiful sandy beaches, both within the gulf and on the opposite side of the St Tropez peninsula. Most famous is the five-kilometer-long Plage de Pampelonne located a few kilometers west of St Tropez. Here, exclusive beach clubs also function as restaurants and nightclubs alongside public beach sections.
Take a trip to one of the medieval villages that sit beautifully atop the hills. Two favorites are Ramatuelle and Gassin, both perched high with stunning views of the sea and the picturesque landscape.
